Bill Oakes entered the financial services industry in 2002 after starting his career at Merrill Lynch retirement plan services and ICG Commerce. In 2007 he passed the rigorous CFP^® examination. Today Bill provides comprehensive insurance and investment solutions for businesses and individuals. 

Throughout his years at Acorn Financial Services, Bill has earned many awards and honors that reflect his position as a leader, both within his firm and in the financial industry as a whole. He is a perennial qualifier for the Acorn Leader's Conference as well as the Signator Investors, Inc. ACE (Achieving Client Excellence) conference. 

Bill was born and raised in Summit, New Jersey and currently resides in Westfield with his wife, Cate and sons, Liam, Dylan, and Quinlan and daughter Kierstin. He is active in the community and is a member of the Westfield Jaycees. Bill attended Seton Hall Preparatory School in West Orange, New Jersey and graduated from St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with a Bachelors of Science in Finance. He is an avid sports enthusiast who enjoys coaching lacrosse and is a member of Baltusrol Golf Club.
